The Scottish Newfoundland Club

About Us

Where It all Began

In 1993 a group of Newfoundland dog lovers felt there was a need to start up a new Dog Club in Scotland. For most people, travelling across the Border or down South was too far and too expensive.

The first meeting was held at Strathclyde Country Park where they voted to form THE SCOTTISH NEWFOUNDLAND CLUB.

They wanted to make a local contact point for people to come and share their knowledge of the breed.

What was needed was to have local Fun Days and Get-togethers.

Together the members have a wealth of knowledge on Health, Showing, Working, Grooming, Breeding and how to survive being owned by a Newfoundland.

If you have any questions or would like to speak with a member regarding our events, please come along and have a chat.

At The Scottish Newfoundland Club, the dog always comes first.
