Events
The Scottish Newfoundland Club have our own events including Water Fun Day and camping weekends
We get invited to take part in events held by other organisations including Galadays and RNLI Fund Raising Days as well as appearances at localised Open Days.
We collect donations for animal and human charities and have helped numerous local charities throughout the year. We take part in the annual Walk For Welfare to raise funds for Northern Newfoundland Club Welfare.
Working Group Water Fun Day.
The Working Fun Day is a great introduction for anyone to the water.
We have a few land games and some in the water.
It's another day for bonding with your Newfie and making sure that the water is for you.
Galadays, Open Days & RNLI Fun Days
We take part in a couple of galadays and invited events as well as the popular RNLI Open Days.
We normally walk in the galadays and set up a wee camp in the park at the end of the walk. That way lots of people get to see the dogs, and those wanting to cuddle a Newfie can come along and do just that. We collect for Newfoundland Welfare via the Welfare Bucket at the park.
Slightly different at the RNLI Days at South Queensferry and Kinghorn. We help raise funds for them while walking with the cart to let the "Dry Newfies" get cuddles. Then it's off to the water where our Working Group carry out scenarios to show case the dogs doing what they do best.
The club loves to Travel
We attend water trial weekends at Rothervalley working Newfoundland’s Newfoundland club Uk and more . We attend fun weekends,take part in the national meeting of Newfoundland friends and love when we are invited to train with other clubs
Working with other clubs in the UK gives us all valuable knowledge about our breed and working them in cart and water training
We have all gained great friends and contacts in all the clubs throughout the UK .
